Citadel Plaza

DIE STADT worked on the neoteric designs for the overall landscape, the main plaza and the roof terraces. Citadel plaza is a fully integrated business, commercial, entertainment and touristic complex in the center of Cairo. Accordingly, our design focuses on providing a functional scheme that enhances the operations of the day-to-day business. However, by integrating the visual patterns of its natural surroundings and the urban layers of Cairo’s historical center, we also developed alluring design elements to capitalize on the venue’s captivating location and environment. Citadel plaza was responsibly designed in partnership with UNESCO to preserve the visual prominence of the citadel and to blend seamlessly into its historic surroundings while complimenting and enriching their status.
